Meet Ismael Minchala — or as the team calls him, Ish — the youngest signing in Whitestone FC history. Joining the squad at just 16 years old, Ish has proven that age is just a number when talent, maturity, and work ethic are at play.
Now 18, Ish continues to rise as one of the club’s most promising young stars. A gifted midfielder who can also operate as a left winger, he’s already tallied 5 goals and 8 assists in UPSL competition — and he’s only just getting started. His sharp vision, quick feet, and creativity on the ball make him a constant threat in the final third.
Before Whitestone, Ish developed his game with DV7 Academy and Triboro United, and currently represents Auburndale, gaining valuable experience across competitive youth systems.
What sets Ish apart isn’t just his skill — it’s his attitude. Being part of a men’s team at such a young age has pushed him to grow rapidly, both on and off the pitch. Surrounded by older, experienced players and supported by a coaching staff that believes in him, Ish credits Whitestone FC for helping him level up every day.
Off the field, Ish keeps things simple: spending time with his dog Valentino, swimming, playing chess, and hanging out with friends at the park. His love for the game is matched by his humility, and his future in football is as bright as it is exciting.
With Ish in the squad, Whitestone FC continues to invest in youth, development, and the long game.
